According to a 2015 Loma Linda University study, funded by the National Cancer Institute, not only do vegans have lower rates of cancer than both meat-eaters and vegetarians, but those who ate a vegetarian diet had a 22% lower risk of colorectal cancer than those who weren’t vegetarians.
